To me, this image is "determination". The boys are tired and sweaty, but they still come together and play.
I edited this image in Photoshop.
1st- Image>Adjustments> Black&White
2nd- select custom and the tint box.
3rd-adjust the colors, then click OK.
This image is "passion." Basketball is my favorite sport, this image reminds me of the game.1st- Croped the image
2nd-Filter>liquefy, then mess up the background, click OK
3rd-Use circle marque around the ball
4th-Image>adjustments>color balance>
-60, -10,+100
5th-Use magnetic lasso on the hoop, repeat step 4

I like both of your pictures. The basketball one is especially neat because of the editing you added to it.

My favorite picture is your second picture because it is cool how you changed the basketball ball to a blue color and you made the background flowy.
I like the wavy background with the focused basketball and hoop. That is really cool.
